Unlike many industrial spreads, the richness of Crema Novi comes directly from its simple, high-quality ingredients: hazelnuts, cocoa, milk powder, and cocoa butter.
Crafted in Novi Ligure by Elah-Dufour S.p.A., Crema Novi follows a century-old tradition of Italian chocolate making. The spread is rich in heart-healthy unsaturated fats, especially oleic acid, the same beneficial fat found in extra virgin olive oil. This makes it not only indulgent but also a smarter choice as part of a balanced diet.
Crema Novi contains no gluten and is made without artificial additives or emulsifiers. The spots or oily layer that may appear on the surface of Novi cream are a natural phenomenon due to the absence of artificial emulsifiers and the high percentage of hazelnuts (45%).
This is natural oil from the hazelnuts and cocoa which may separate at room temperature. It is not a defect, but rather a sign of quality and of the absence of added hydrogenated fats.
How to manage it:
Do not discard the oil: It is not a sign of spoilage, but a natural characteristic of the product.
Stir well before use: Simply stir the product thoroughly to recombine the solid and liquid parts.
Storage: To minimise separation, store the jar in a cool place. Refrigeration is not necessary, as excessive cold will make the cream very firm.
