How to Prepare

You will need: 125g butter · 3 medium eggs (60–65g) · 100ml milk – all at room temperature

1. Pour the contents of the cake mix sachet into a bowl. Add the butter, eggs and milk. Beat with an electric mixer at maximum speed for 4 minutes until smooth and even.
2. Pour the batter into a greased and floured round cake tin (Ø 24cm) and level the surface with the back of a spoon.
3. Bake for 40–50 minutes (check with a skewer – it should come out clean). Electric oven (preheated): 175°C, lower shelf. Fan oven (preheated): 165°C, lower shelf. Gas oven (preheated): 190°C, middle shelf.
4. Remove from the oven, leave to cool for 10 minutes, then turn out and dust with icing sugar from the sachet.

Store the finished cake in a cool, dry place and consume within 2 days.
